How to Create Traffic Online Using Ezine Advertising

Advertising is always a good way to create traffic online for web site. But Ezine advertising can be more than good, it can be excellent. This is because Ezines, tend to be very targeted, they are opt-in, and often they are distributed by email. This means they get more attention than an ad casually placed elsewhere – because they are more “qualified.” You can use Ezines to promote your site in four ways:

Solo Ads: Essentially a direct email offer to the Ezine’s list. It’s a mail shot that only includes your offer. No others. It’s likely to be the Ezine vehicle that gives you the best response.




Sponsor Ads: This is an ad at the top of the Ezine and gets seen by every subscriber. It’s good but, of course, you’re sharing space with other content and potentially with other advertisers. So, good, but not as good as solo ads.

Classifieds: Just what you see everyday in your newspaper. It a short ad in a structured place within the Ezine. Classified ads are quite inexpensive, but of course, don’t work as well as Solo or Sponsored Ads.

Ezine Articles: A slightly more varied form for Ezine advertising is to publish an article within the Ezine. Ezine publishers are hungry for content and will often allow you to have a small biographical paragraph and back link to your web site.

Any of these methods is a useful way of boosting traffic online to your web site. Ezines offer the benefit of being focused, opt-in, and some have extremely large circulations. All of these are good reasons to look at Ezine advertising as part of your internet marketing mix.
